The Challenge

Colorado is leading some of the most aggressive actions on climate change in the United States. The Interagency Climate Team identified the urgent need for a website to help coordinate climate action, increase awareness about shared goals,  available funding, and resources.

The Solution

Michelle Fox, doing business as The Bridge Studio, was contracted to lead the creation of climate.colorado.gov.

The site development required the coordination of and close collaboration with numerous people, including dedicated leaders of the Interagency Climate Team, the State Internet Portal Authority, a rotation of state department interns, a team of UX/UI designers, and local leaders representing the diverse range of populations and needs across the state.

After an immersive engagement, the final deliverables included a plug-and-play toolkit built on Drupal that state staff can populate and grow with.

Special thanks to our key client collaborators Megan Holcomb, Senior Climate Risk and Resiliency Specialist at Colorado Water Conservation Board; Christine Berg, Senior Policy Advisor, Local Government at Colorado Energy Office; and Rob Pressly, Resiliency Program Manager Colorado Department of Local Affairs and The Bridge Studio teammates Lacey Ankenman and Lorena Fox.
